EmployAbility Development Committee

 

The purpose of this committee is to promote EmployAbility’s mission by expanding awareness of our services and raising funds to support them.

 

Responsibilities of Committee Membership

  • Be a team player

    • Come to meetings ready to collaborate, share ideas, and explore new activities.

    • Attend almost all six meetings held each year, in-person whenever possible.

    • Be an involved member of at least one subcommittee.

  • Support EmployAbility’s mission

    • Give a donation. This can be a once-a-year gift or a recurring monthly donation.

    • Advocate for EmployAbility with people in your network by sharing good news about what we are doing and asking them to join you in supporting the mission.

    • Volunteer at EmployAbility events and give your time through subcommittee service.

  • Lead

    • Encourage members of the board of directors to participate in EmployAbility events.

    • Ask the board to support EmployAbility’s annual fund with 100% participation.

    • Provide leads to staff for volunteers, donors, and other supporters, and collaborate on how to encourage participation.

  • Communicate

    • Share timely updates with staff and other committee members on progress of subcommittee(s) and project(s).

    • Request data, contact information, and guidance from EmployAbility staff as needed to conduct your committee work.

 

Committee Meetings

  • Date: 2nd Tuesday, every other month; January, March, May, July, September, and November.

  • Time: 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

  • Location: all meetings will be at EmployAbility and members who cannot attend in-person may join remotely via Teams.

 

Subcommittees

  • Subcommittees will be formed to work on special projects.

  • Members will set subcommittee meeting locations, dates, and times. EmployAbility meeting space will be available for these meetings.

  • Subcommittee members are not required to be development committee members.

  • The development committee will support all subcommittees.

  • Each subcommittee will have a chair, who will provide updates and request assistance from other committee members as needed.
