Blazing trails since 1951

For over 70 years, EmployAbility has pioneered the way for a more inclusive Savannah. Today we use fully adaptive, cutting-edge technology and partner with local universities and institutions to create curricula for life skills and continuing education.

Adaptive Technology & The Blueprint Grant

Since 2018, Chatham County has graciously granted funds to support the Job Seekers Program at EmployAbility. Our 2023 Blueprint Grant funds were used for fully adaptive technology, allowing us to personalize each participants’ experience and provide insight to potential employers.

We teamed up with UGA Extension to teach affordable nutrition as part of The Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program.

The EFNEP’s goal is to assist in acquiring the knowledge, skills, and changed behaviors necessary for nutritionally sound diets and to contribute to their personal development and the improvement of total family diet and nutritional welfare.

Innovating Instruction & Savannah Technical College

We partnered with Savannah Technical College to create world class learning resources and lessons plans that make occupational and life skills education accessible and inclusive for clients.

Teaching is tough, and teachings students with differentiated needs can be even tougher. The lesson plans we provided gave Employability instructors the playbook they need to help their clients comprehend, learn, and apply the lessons. This means that their home and work life will be better. It also means that the instructors’ experience of the class will be better. What could be more rewarding than that?”
