At EmployAbility, we’re dedicated to providing innovative Pre-Employment Training designed to empower people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). We aim to foster community inclusion by equipping participants with essential skills that prepare them for supported employment and help them integrate more fully into community life.

Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS): Bridging the Gap

As part of our comprehensive Pre-Employment Training, EmployAbility offers Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) to help students 14 - 22 with IDD transition smoothly into the workforce. Pre-ETS provides participants with the foundational skills and experience needed to prepare for future employment, ensuring they are equipped to meet the challenges of the working world. Job Seekers

EmployAbility’s Job Seekers program is the first step toward meaningful community employment for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Through interactive classes and hands-on activities, participants learn the essential workplace and life skills needed to succeed on the job and thrive in their communities.

Guided by experienced Career Coaches, Job Seekers explore topics such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, workplace expectations, and self-advocacy. The program is designed to build confidence, encourage independence, and prepare participants for long-term success in Supported Employment.

By combining classroom instruction with real-world experiences, Job Seekers provides a strong foundation for participants to transition into competitive, integrated employment opportunities with ongoing support. Learn more about Job Seekers here.

The Academy: Building Foundations for Success

The Academy is the cornerstone of our Pre-Employment Training program. Here, participants gain crucial employment and life skills tailored to prepare them for community employment and integration. Our comprehensive approach ensures that each participant is encouraged to grow both personally and professionally every day. Through hands-on training and real-world experience, participants develop the competencies for a successful career.

Our Pre-Employment Training focuses on helping individuals develop good work habits and acquire basic skills essential for any job. These foundational skills include:
